About this theme
For many households the golden age of sport meant radio play-by-play, Sunday doubleheaders and one television set for the big game. Baseball, football, basketball and hockey built loyal followings, and certain players became names everyone recognised.
This word search gathers the games, championships and star players of that era — with a factual hint under every word. Play on screen through the generator, or print the large-print version and settle in for a long, pleasant hunt.
